Hearing the Right Things and Still Getting Them Wrong - Here Is Why

The problem is not that God has gone silent. The problem is translation. Numbers 12:6 says God makes himself known through visions and speaks in dreams - but receiving the vision is only half of it. Interpreting it correctly is what changes your life. This message teaches you to read the grammar of the Spirit.

The Baby Who Is Speaking But Cannot Be Understood

A baby communicates constantly - but you cannot interpret a crying baby by just hearing the sound. You read the face. You read the body. You ask what the whole picture is showing you. If the child is laughing and you reach for a pain tablet, you have heard the child without interpreting the child. The result is that you respond to something entirely different from what was actually said.

That is the exact situation many believers find themselves in with God. He is speaking. He has always been speaking. But when we get the communication wrong - when we interpret fear as God warning us, when we interpret anxiety as confirmation, when we act on a fragment without asking for the whole message - we end up frustrated and confused, convinced that God has gone quiet. He has not. Our translation is the issue.

Numbers 12:6 - God Speaks in Visions and Dreams

Numbers 12:6 - "And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the Lord will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream."

Acts 2:17 confirms this for every believer - "It shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams." This is not reserved for the platform. It is for the whole body.

Dreams are not random thoughts that float in while you sleep. They are spiritual pictures that carry meaning. The same God who spoke to Moses through a burning bush, who spoke to Joseph through grain and stars, who spoke to Pharaoh through cows and rivers - He still speaks in picture language today. And that language has a grammar. Learning it changes how you respond to what He is saying.

Reading the Symbols - What the Spirit Uses

When God communicates through visions or dreams, the details matter. A door in a vision is not just a door. Revelation 3:8 says, "I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it." An open door is an opportunity or a transition - a next realm being made available. A closed door is a closed chapter. But you must ask: was the door open or closed when you saw it? Because the answer changes everything about how you respond.

Water can represent the Holy Spirit - John 7:38 says out of the believer shall flow rivers of living water. But stormy water carries a different meaning altogether. Calm, flowing water says the Spirit is moving through you. Turbulent water signals danger or disruption. Light represents revelation, knowledge, or truth coming through (John 1:4-5). Darkness represents something hidden or not yet understood. Oil in the Psalms represents anointing and the favour of God. Each symbol must be read in context - not in isolation.

God uses symbols to reveal His will, just as Jesus used parables to reveal kingdom principles. The parable was never random. It was a picture chosen to communicate something specific. When you receive a vision or dream, the first question is not just "what did I see?" but "what was the context around what I saw?"

Habakkuk 2:2-3 - Write It Down

Habakkuk 2:2-3 - "And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry."

The instruction to write the vision is not ceremonial. Writing the vision forces clarity - it slows you down long enough to capture detail you would otherwise lose. And the date matters too. A vision written with a date gives you a reference point. When the interpretation becomes clear six months later, you can look back and see exactly when God first showed it to you.

Revelation matures over time. God may show one part now and another later. What looked confusing in a dream can become unmistakably clear after a season of obedience. The act of writing is itself an act of faith - you are saying, Lord, I received this, I am holding onto it, and I will not rush past it.

Genesis 40:8 and Colossians 3:15 - Interpretation Belongs to God

Genesis 40:8 - Joseph said to the cupbearer and the baker, "Do not interpretations belong to God? Tell me them, I pray you." Joseph did not interpret from his own knowledge. He operated from a partnership - he invited them to speak, but pointed toward God as the source of the meaning. Interpretation is not guesswork. It is not pattern-matching from what someone else told you in a different season. It is a conversation with the Spirit who gave the vision in the first place.

Colossians 3:15 - "And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be thankful." Peace is heaven's confirmation. If the interpretation brings anxiety, something is not adding up. God's word will not contradict His peace. When you arrive at the correct interpretation, something settles. That settling is not wishful thinking - it is the umpire of the Spirit calling the play correctly.

"The problem is not God's silence. The problem is translation. God is always speaking. The question is whether you have learned the grammar of His language well enough to understand what He is actually saying."

Three Steps to Interpret What You Are Hearing

  1. Write it down with the date. When you receive a dream or vision, record it the same day. Include as much detail as you can remember - what you saw, the order it happened, the feeling you had. Revelation matures. What seems unclear today can become precise confirmation after your next act of obedience.
  2. Test it against three questions. Does it align with scripture? God will not contradict what He has already written. Does it bring peace or fear? True revelation settles - it does not unravel you. What is the truth God is pointing toward? Not just the symbol, but the principle behind it.
  3. Ask God for the interpretation - do not force it. Genesis 40:8 makes clear that interpretation belongs to God. If the meaning is not clear, do not manufacture one from pressure or impatience. Call unto God - Jeremiah 33:3 promises He will show you great and mighty things that you do not yet know. True interpretation brings clarity, not more confusion. When it is right, you will know.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does Numbers 12:6 say about how God speaks?

Numbers 12:6 - God makes himself known in visions and speaks in dreams. This is not limited to prophets or pastors. Acts 2:17 says sons and daughters shall prophesy, young men shall see visions, and old men shall dream dreams. Receiving the communication is only part of it. Correctly interpreting it is what allows you to respond well. The problem most believers face is not God's silence - it is that they have not yet learned to read the grammar of the Spirit.

How do you know if a dream or vision is from God?

Three questions help: Does it align with scripture? Does it bring peace or does it bring fear - because Colossians 3:15 says the peace of God should rule as umpire? And what truth is God pointing you toward - not just the symbols, but the principle behind them? Genesis 40:8 says interpretation belongs to God. Ask Him directly. If the meaning is unclear, do not force it. True interpretation brings clarity. When you have it right, something settles.

Now, we have a situation where we realize that God has spoken, and many a times we know God has spoken, but for some weird reason we misinterpret what He says. It's literally the confusing emotions and the things that we have that makes us to misinterpret. What He says. So today it's all about interpreting what you hear. You remember last week we had our message where we said it's to listen to God. But although we sometimes listen, or although we sometimes hear, in fact I must actually say hearing His voice, sorry man. I must actually say hearing His voice. So, last week we said raise a generation of people that hears God. And we said the foundation of true prophecy is hearing God's voice clearly. Not just hearing it, but hearing God's voice clearly. And then we moved on. We said the language of the Spirit is interpreting also what you hear. And we said the mental and the motive, the purity in prophetic ministry. So, the mental and the motive is what motivates the prophet to say. Is it his stomach? He's hungry. He needs a seat for somebody to buy him food. So, you need to know the motive behind it. And we ended up with the prophetic church building a culture of revelation. So, I'm just giving a brief on that one. No man. We said this is the four. Sorry man. Sorry. Now I'm confusing the two. We said this is the four things about this. The four weeks. Yo. Where am I today? I think I need to go down. Come down. Yeah. The foundation of true prophecy is hearing God's voice clearly. Then we said God is always speaking. Number one. Regardless whether you hear or not. So, God is always speaking. Number two. We said we just need to make sure that we recognize his voice. And God always communicates. But we often miss his voices. Because we do not recognize him speaking. That's number one there. That's the key idea on that one. Then we said you need to prepare your heart to hear. That's another one. So, preparing your heart to hear. And we also said discerning and testing the prophetic words. Is this word actually coming from God? Or is this word actually coming from your own? And then we also said that on the teaching there, on the testing and prophetic words, discerning it. Is it publicly tested? Is it edification, exhortation or comforting? Does it give fruits and motivation? And we were also speaking about the practical ways to discern. Practical ways to discern. So, does the message agree with the scripture? God will not contradict himself. And we said, does it glorify Jesus or glorify the prophet? So, true prophecy magnifies Christ. And does it build up in courage or comfort? Or does it induce fear or condemnation? What is the fruit? Does the word lead to a greater holiness and love? So, that's just the basic on that. But today, we're going further by saying. We're going into the language of the spirit. That's interpreting what you are hearing. So, it's no use. Somebody is speaking. I don't know if you can actually picture this. You can see a baby is talking. But for some reason, you don't know what is saying. But interpreting that is seeing what is the face look like and the body gesture look like. If the child is talking and the face shows pain, immediately you can interpret that as either the neppy is not right or they need to burp or they, you know. So, the child is speaking, but our interpretation has to be correct to make sure that if the child laughs, you don't go and put a pain tablet in the mouth because the child is laughing. So, that's basically what it means to interpret. So, today we're also having the situation where you interpret it so wrongly that you get frustrated. And in our frustration, we're thinking God has gone silent because God still speaks. The problem is not silence. It's the translation. Our translation sometimes it's wrongly. How we translate how God speaks might be the problem. So, now, I'm starting off my message by saying to you, we will read in the book of Numbers 12 verse 6. Now, please write down the scriptures because obviously I don't want us to take too much time in going to the scriptures the whole time. I'll just read if I have it. But Numbers 12 verse 6 says, And he said, Hear now my words, if there be a prophet among you, and I, the Lord, will make himself known unto him in a vision and will speak unto him in a dream. So, when God speaks in the vision or in the dream, it still doesn't mean that you understand what he's saying. So, you still need to interpret. If you can take Jesus' walk on earth, he used a lot of parables in the time when he was speaking. He said, we are like a house that is built on sand. And when the wind comes, it blows away the sand. We are like those who build their house on a rock. And it stands stable even if the wind comes. So, when he said all those things, our interpretation of what he said makes sense to what we heard him saying. But now I need to warn you. I need to warn you. Sometimes your interpretation is wrong because you don't take the whole message in consideration. Because if you take the whole message in consideration, let's make an example. If you go to the prodigal son. Now, my interpretation is differently than your interpretation because when you're looking at the son, the prodigal son. The prodigal son, when he arrived home, do you know what his words was or what the father's words were? You were lost and now you're found. But when you heard the other son speaking, the other son conversation was, I have been with you for quite some time. But you have never slaughtered even a cow for me to celebrate. So, my question to you is, if you're looking at the interpretation of what this guy is saying, he's actually the one that is lost. Because if I say to you, somebody who is sitting with so much, but yet don't know they have it, they are lost. So, why I'm saying interpretations matter, because the interpretation of somebody who is at home, but yet don't eat from what he has been given already or what he have, but yet telling the other one who is lost. Because by the time, because by the time the guy went up in the pig's time or eat with the pigs, so by the time he ate with the pigs, he realized, but this is not my portion to eat with pigs. I'd rather go back home. So, how do somebody who is lost still know where his house is? That to me is not lost. But somebody who is at home, don't know. That's where the difference is. That's where the difference is. See now the devil, I miss. The tower, Wi-Fi went off. So, now when I, when I interpret that specific message, I'm of the opinion that, how can you be lost, if you know exactly where to go? Regardless of whichever road you take, you will know how to get home. And by the time when that one got home, and the other one says, but father, you didn't make a plan for me. How come? And that is where the problem comes in. Now, God speaks in many languages. If you see, God doesn't only speak through words, like he doesn't verbally, when you, when you hear him, it's not somebody that will speak clearly like me now. Sometimes he speaks through visions, a vision in the night, or during the day. Sometimes he speaks through dreams. Sometimes he speaks through impressions. And sometimes he speaks through peace. You know, you know that feeling of, I'm in the right place. And God is saying, I'm at peace. I so much wanted to move away from my house. But, why am I feeling at peace in my house? It means that, I'm at the right place. So, sometimes God speaks through that. Sometimes he even speaks through scriptures. For those of you that don't know, the Bible still exists. Because the Bible is supposed to bring you more of his, him speaking. So, when you're looking at language, do you know, when I speak like this, I wonder, if you are listening to me, and if you are listening, what do you think? When I speak like this, my tone of voice changes, but it does not change what I'm saying, but it just changes the mood I'm in. Because, if I say, I'm happy, with a straight face that doesn't show happiness, I can still be interpreted wrongly. So, when God speaks, you need to understand the grammar. You need to understand the language. You need to understand, because sometimes God can say to you, you, don't do that. But, for you, it's almost like as if he's fighting, but it's not that he's fighting, he's warning you. You understand? So, you need to understand the grammar of God. You need to understand that, for some people, I can tell you now. Some people, if you go to school, let's go back to school. Let's just have a little bit of a back to school moment. Do you know some people, by just listening in class, they will pass the exams. Somebody, just listen. They don't even make notes, nothing. They just listen. But, somebody who are of seeing, and they see, as the teacher makes some pictures, they understand it better with pictures. While somebody else, they can look there far, but just listen to what he said, and yet they can still do that. So, we are literally in different ways that we hear God. Some of us can hear God by just having some sort of a feeling. And the feeling, sometimes you ask, wow, why am I feeling so good? Knowing God is at that moment there. So, God has a grammar. God has a language. God has a tone. He speaks through it. So, there's just something that we need to understand, is that we need to learn the patterns of the spirit. So, when we learn the patterns of the spirit, it's easier to understand. Because if you go to the Greek word, phone, it means the sound, the tone, and the voice. So, God voices a tone that carries His peace, not pressure. His peace, not pressure. Now, let's get into dreams and vision. That is a heaven's picture language. That's a picture language. If you go to Acts 2 verse 17. This is what Acts 2 verse 17 says. Acts 2 verse 17 says, It shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out my spirit on all flesh. Did you hear? He says, all flesh. Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy. Your young men shall see visions. Your old men shall dream dreams. That's Acts 2 verse 17. Now, when you're looking at dreams, dreams are not just random thoughts. Dreams are not just random thoughts. They are a spiritual picture that is trying to tell you something. And if you understand dreams interpretation, you would know that what it means. But if you don't understand the dreams interpretation, it's where you need to go back to the Bible and understand what does the Bible says about certain things. Because if you go to the time when God was speaking to Moses, he's spoken to a burning bush. So, a fire can mean, or a burning can mean God's presence. But at the same time, burning or a fire can also means burning down something. But in the whole context or the contextual agreement or the contextual speaking, you need to get from the beginning to the end. And therefore, when somebody says to me, I had this dream, I would start asking from the beginning of the dream to the end of the dream. It's when somebody says to me, I love you, it's because the person wants you to know they are frustrated just so that you can get away. You know, some people have a tendency of, just to get you away from them. They would scream, I love you. They don't say it with, but I love you. It's two different things. It's just to get rid of you, to say, I love you. Levin, you haven't been there. Let me tell you about boyfriends. Let me tell you about boyfriends. They will keep on saying, I love you. Just to, to get to sleep with you. And when, after they slept with you, the love run away. They just tell you, I love you, just to get to where they want to be. Then you find another guy who would say, I love you. And therefore, I don't want to sleep with you. And that's why that person has the real love to say, look, we wait until we are grown. And know that this is what we want. That kind of love is a different kind of love. Now, when you, when you go to, to, through this spiritual pictures there, God uses symbols to reveal his will. Just as Jesus has spoken to, uh, through, uh, parables. Like a door that you can see. Maybe you see a door in the vision. Now, when you see a door in the vision, ask yourself, is the door open or is the door closed? Because if the door is, is, is open, it means that an opportunity awaits you outside the door. But when the door is closed, it might say that it has closed an opportunity. You understand? So, you need to, you need to, you need to contextualize the whole thing. Not just see a door. You need to ask, what is the door doing? Because if you see a door and you say to somebody, wow, there's an open door for you. Has the door been opened when you spoke? Or when you saw it? Or was the door closed? So, your, your interpretation of that should be different. I mean, if you, if you take water for argument's sake, according to, to, to John 7, verse 38. Wait, let me, let me, let me go to John 7, verse 38 quickly. John 7, verse 38. Now, John 7, verse 38 says the following. He says, he that believeth on me, as the scripture has said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living waters. Rivers of living waters. So, water may represent the Holy Spirit upon you. But do you know, a stormy water, it's something else. So, it needs to be a calm river flowing. That can represent the Holy Spirit. But when the, the waters is rough, like the, uh, uh, okrabi's waterfall, that's a different thing. That's a terror water. Because once you go into that water, you might never come back. So, you need to interpret it correctly, to understand what is God saying. Then, when you're looking at, for argument's sake, darkness. So, when it's dark surrounding you, there's, there's some sort of ignorance or, or, or something hidden. So, these are the ways that you should uninterpret. But interpretation only gets given by God. Do you know, Joseph said that. Interpretation only gets given by God. So, when you, when you had a dream, the first thing, when you woke up, or when you wake up. English, English, English. So, when you wake up, ask yourself, does it align with scripture? So, when it aligns with scripture, it doesn't stop there. You need to then ask the next question, does it bring peace, or does it bring fear? Because that will also, makes you know, if it's God speaking, or who is speaking. And also, what you need to ask yourself is, what truth is God showing me here? What truth is God showing me here? Now, I'm going over to visions. The Bible says, write the vision down. Habakkuk. Then, Habakkuk 2, verse 2 and 3. Habakkuk 2, verse 2 and 3. He says, then the Lord answered me and said, write the vision and make it plain on tablets. Now, if you know, some in the olden years now, they didn't have a book and pen. They wrote on tablets. So, make it plain on tablets that he may run who reads it. So, sometimes, when somebody writes a book, it's some sort of vision that the person has for the future. So, that somebody else that comes after him must run with it. I don't know if that makes sense. So, that he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time. But at the end of it, at the end, it will speak and it will not lie. So, when you're talking about vision, sometimes, it's also imperative that you don't rush when a vision comes. Because when a vision comes, you might just rush into it and get it wrongly. So, writing the vision helps you to interpret it correctly at the right time. Writing it down might interpret it correctly at the right time. Revelation matures over time. If I can see, I had this vision. But, I'm not lying. I saw the vision of the church having a building that is quite huge. And when I saw the building, I saw different departments within the building. I even saw on top of the building... Apartments. Apartments. Departments. Okay. Apartments. Yeah. Apartments. So, I saw apartments on top of the church building. And I saw people of the church staying there. And when they stay there, they sow into the church. It's almost like as if you can see the plants like flowers. They throw flowers in the church. And when I saw this vision, I was like, wow, God. This is awesome. Because if you have people staying on top of the church and they plant into the church. Let's say for argument's sake, they pay rent. The church then use that rent to do whatever is needed for the church to go. So, like if they have a training, because I saw the training facility as well. Because when I saw the training facility, I was like, wow, this is where my, my, my... This is my ministry. I saw the training facility. And I even saw it like looking like a university that has that coming down of steppies. And the lecturer stands at the bottom and they can look up like that. I saw that training facility like that. And I saw the board with the, with the, with the, what is the idea of the name? Laser. Like a laser thing. Showing. Yeah. It's almost like this thing. Yeah. Showing there. Wow. Laser. One. Laser. Okay. Number one. What, what, what? And I saw that. And I was like, you, you, you. I, I, I literally went, ne, and I, I went on to, to, to, to check GPT even, ne, and I gave him the vision and I told him to, to, um, give me a picture of this one I've seen. Like, I've explained it exactly, exactly as the vision. And when, when he came back, I was like, wow. This is what I was seeing. And I gave him so much information. The thing about, uh, the thing about this chatbots and whatnot, Evers, you must give them enough information to make a decision on it. If you give them vague information, they will give something vague to you. So the interpretation, when I speak to, to, to, to, because I spoken the vision and when it comes back, I was like, you're, wow. I even says, keep this in memory for me. So that every time, whenever I ask about church vision, this must come up and show me how I must do it. So writing the vision down helps you to interpret, interpret it correctly. So when God gives dreams, write it, not just, don't, don't just write it, ne, write the date as well. And, and, and when you wrote the date and you wrote the, the, the, the dream, ne, pray over, over it. And if it's something that you, you've been desired, ne, you, it was your desire to have it, even fast above it. Say, Lord, this dream, I, I'm not leaving it. I'm even acknowledging that I can't live without you being present with this. So sometimes when you do that, it will give you a clear understanding of the dream and it will interpret the dream correctly. And remember, many prophetic words also become clear only after your obedience. But it become clearer only after obedience. What did the prophet says from Hamanskral? He says that we will have a company called R&R Trading. And the, the, the, within the next week or two or month, I went on to CIPC and I registered R&R Trading. And it was there. So my obedience made the, the vision to even become clearer. And sometimes it's also patience. Because remember, patience is the thing that sometimes makes you not to rush into the wrong dreams that you have. Now, when I, when I look at the Hebrew word, it says Chazon, which means vision or divine revelation. Chazon, which is C-H-A-Z-O-N. It means vision or divine revelation. Now, it's also impulse ongoing revelation. So God may show one part now and another later. So sometimes when you have a dream, you, for some weird reason, you wake up and you get back to sleep and the dream goes on and you're like, wow. Wow. How did that happen? So you need to understand that. Now, going to the next one. I said to you, interpretation belongs to God. So the interpretation of, of it, you need to ask God for the interpretation. Then Joseph said to them, oh, sorry, Genesis 40, Genesis 40, verse eight. Genesis 40, verse eight. Then Joseph said to them, do not interpret interpretation belongs to God. Tell them to me, please. So he was saying, okay, give it to me. But interpretation still belongs to God. So interpretation is not guessing. It's, it's, it's literally a partnership with you and God. So the Holy Spirit reveals what symbols means. So always asking. The Holy Spirit reveals what symbols means. So always asking. It's like, it's like you, you, you have this kind of conversation. Ah, Lord, what are you showing me here? Lord, me, I'm not understanding. Please. Because, what is thy, um, I'll tell you now. Lord, what are you saying? And you're like, ah, just say something. Ah, no, no, no, no. Lord, what are you saying? What are you saying? Please, my Lord, my, I'm not, I'm not understanding. Lord, I'm not understanding. What are you saying? Then he comes back to say, Jeremiah 33, verse three. Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things which thou knowest not. Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things which thou knowest not. So, so, so when you don't know, ask God for the interpretation of it. If it's not clear, don't force it. If it's not clear, don't force it. True interpretation brings clarity, not confusion. When it's true, and the interpretation is true. Is this, it's like, okay, you understand what I'm trying to say. Interpretation, whatever, that thing, yeah, it's true. Another point is, peace is heaven's confirmation. So, if it doesn't bring peace, and the peace of God that transcends all minds, if it's not peace, something is not adding up. Now, Colossians 3, verse 15. Colossians 3, verse 15 says, And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body, and be thankful. God's word will never contradict his peace. God's word will never contradict his peace. If an interpretation brings some sort of anxiety, maybe you feel anxious, it may not be from him. You hear, I put an emphasis on me. Because sometimes he can put fear into you, to bring you into the right direction as well. So, it might not always be, that fear might not be evident in them. For somebody who knows he's in the wrong path, God might bring some fear. God might bring some fear. And I, I'm of the opinion that, when you would like to interpret what God is saying to you, don't go and ask for, for, what is this? Don't go and ask for profit. Profit is not always, understanding your background. Am I correct? Say, like, like, I'm just making an example. When you were younger, a kiss to you, meant, somebody loved you. So, whenever somebody kiss you, it's out of love. But, the same kiss, that you say, it meant love to you, was somebody was forced, to, to be kissed, all the time. And that person sees it as a, bad thing. I remember, I remember, there was one, one, one of my, um, aunties. When that auntie wants to kiss me, I used to run. Do you know why? Because, her breath was stinking, of alcohol. Like, that, yo, is deep inside alcohol. I would, I, I didn't want that to kiss me. I, I, I was like, oh, as long as she can kiss me, on my forehead, anywhere else, but not on my cheek, or on my mouth. So, that interpretation, when somebody talk about kiss, might just, snap, and bring back, that memory. Because, that smell, wasn't like your normal, drinking smell. It's a smell that comes from, three days of drinking, and not brushing teeth. And that to me, was not nice. So, so, you understand why I'm saying, it's very important to understand, these things. You know, if I can, okay, let me just go back, one more, one, or four steps back. If you, if you say, Revelation 3, verse 8, I just want to make, you remember, I said to you something, about the door. Let's just quickly, go to Revelation 3, verse 8. Revelation 3, verse 8 says, I know thy works, behold, I have set before thee, an open door, and no man, can shut it. For thou hast, little strength, and has kept my word, and has not, denied my name. For thou hast, little strength. So, can you see, because of your little strength, God has opened up a door to you. So, that door, is a door of opportunity, or a door of a transition, to a next realm of your life. Then, when you're looking at, at light, also, light is a revelation, knowledge, or a truth, that comes to pass. I'm not going to read it, but if you do have time, read John 1, from 4, John 1, 4 and 5, verse 4 and 5. So, can you see, when you interpret, you need to understand, the Bible, what it says, about a door. What it says, about, oil. Because, oil, can mean, anointing. You are, anointed, thou anointed, my head, with oil. My cup runneth over. Now, when you're looking, at the cup, now you, you, you ask yourself, what does this cup hold? Because, when a cup runneth over, it might be, something, that is good, or bad. What does the cup have in? Yesterday, I went, I was, I was, on my way out, with my daughter. and I was drinking coffee, and she kept on saying to me, when are we going, when are we going? So, as I was drinking the coffee, and there was a little bit, coffee left. And I said to her, okay, but you can have this, then we can go. She took the cup, and look in the cup, and she immediately, give it back to me. Because, she doesn't like coffee. So, my cup can run over, with coffee, while I'm a tea drinker. So, your interpretation, needs to be, on point. Now, now, when you're looking at it, then, common, common things, that we sometimes, must, is we, over, spiritualize things. We sometimes, over, spiritualize things. And the pitfalls, also is to, to forcing, a quick interpretation. So, take time, and let the interpretation, run it to course. Sometimes, it's a mixing of emotion, that makes us also, to miss it. Or, biases, with revelations. I, I sometimes, I sometimes, have a, have a, a, a, a, a, a problem, when I can hear, God clearly says, I must say it. But then, I'm too afraid, that it might be, my own voice, or my own, way of saying it. Then, I can't say, God said, I, I said, I feel like, you need to do this. Or, I think, you must do that. I don't say, God, immediately. So, another, pitfall is also, ignoring peace, and scripture, confirmation. Ignoring, peace, and scripture, confirmation. So, once again, there's always, five steps, for any revelations. Not always, let's say, but there is, five steps, to a revelation. There might be more, or there can be, others as well. But, I'm just saying, five. Number one, does it glorify Jesus? does this revelation that you have, the revelational knowledge, does it glorify Jesus? Because, if you go to, Revelations 19, verse 10, ne? Revelations 19, verse 10, while I'm here, let me quickly read it for you. Revelation 19, verse 10 says, and I fell at his feet, to worship him, and he said unto me, see thou do it not. I'm thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren, that have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God, for the testimony of Jesus, is the spirit of prophecy. Is the spirit of prophecy. So, test, if you glorify Jesus. Another one, does it align with scripture? Does it align with scripture? I think, I think, for this one, for this part, let me, let me just give you all the scriptures, or read all the scriptures, instead of just giving it to you. If you go to, 2nd Timothy, and you read, 2nd Timothy 3, 2nd Timothy 3, verse 16, says as follow, all scriptures, is given by, is inspiration of God, and it's profitable, for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction, in righteousness. So, all scripture, is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable, for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction, in righteousness. So, does it align with scripture? Number one, does it glorify Jesus? Number two, does it align with scripture? Number three, does it produce, peace? Number three, does it produce, peace? And that, does it produce, peace? We then need to go to, a collusion. Does it produce, peace? Colossians 3, verse 15. Colossians 3, verse 15, says, And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also ye called into one body, and be ye thankful. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also ye are called in one body, and be ye thankful. So, does it produce peace? Does it lead to obedience? Number four, does it lead to obedience? Does it? John 14. And like I said, just write it down, write the scriptures down, you will read it at home. John 14, verse 15, says as follow, If you love me, keep my commands. So, does it lead to obedience? If you love me, keep my commands. Then, the last one, number five, does it edify in love? Does it edify in love? Now, does it edify in love? It goes to 1 Corinthians 14. Does it edify in love? 1 Corinthians 14. And you're looking at verse 3. But he that prophesied, speaketh unto men, to edification, exhortation, and comfort. But he that prophesied, speaketh unto men, to edification, exhortation, and comfort. If you love somebody, you will always edify them, you will exhort them, and comfort them. Number three. Number three. Number three is, does it produce peace? So, I'm just going through it again. Number one, does it glorify Jesus? That's number one. Number two, okay, scripture that goes with it, Revelation 19, verse 10. Does it glorify Jesus? Revelation 19, verse 10. Does it align with scripture? Number two, 2 Timothy 3, verse 16. Number three, does it produce peace? Colossians 3, verse 15. Number four, does it lead to obedience? John 14, verse 15. Number five, does it edify in love? 1 Corinthians 14, verse 3. So, going back to the interpretation of it is, the interpretation rule is always to wait. So, don't just interpret because you are quick to interpret. Unless God has given you something quick, do interpret. But don't, interpret quickly. Revelations mature. Revelation mature. Write down the scripture. Habakkuk 2, verse 3. Remember, I said to you, it will not tarry. It will come to pass. So, Revelation matures. So, wait is number one. The, the rule to interpret is to wait. The rule to interpret is to write down. Journaling remove confusion. Habakkuk 2, verse 2. So, to write it down, you don't get confused. You can over, read, read, over and over again until you understand it. Then, pray about it. Ask the Holy Spirit for meaning. John 16, verse 13. So, pray about it. check scriptures. Check scriptures. So, no revelation contradicts the word. Confirm with peace. So, does it bring peace? If peace is mercy, awwa, pause. If peace is mercy, pause. But remember, remember I said to you, sometimes, it's not always peace. It might bring fear as well when God is trying to warn you. But, it needs to be peace. And, another one actually which I forgot, another one that I forgot when it comes to interpreting the visions and dreams is to seek counsel. Like, speak to somebody who has been matured in the spiritual side. You know, like, somebody who's been long in, I can't say long. No, no, no. I mustn't say somebody who's been long in Christianity because somebody has been in church for their whole life, but they don't, still don't know a lot. They are just there because they just want to sit there. So, go and speak to a mature believer. Somebody who matured. Somebody who matured. Somebody who matured. So, to, to, to, to conclude, in conclusion, in conclusion, God speaks in many ways. Hebrews 1, 1 and 2. Because God communicates through prophets, visions, and his sons. Then, dreams and visions, which is Numbers 12, verse 6, and Acts 2, verse 17. Dreams and visions are valid prophetic channels. Write the vision down, Abacut 2, verse 2 and 3. Because recorded revelation, it clarifies what God is saying. And it grows over time. Another one, which I said, interpretation belongs to God. According to Genesis 40, verse 8, you remember Joseph said it. So, don't force meaning. Wait for the Holy Spirit to reveal it. Then, peace confirms truth, peace is the empire of God's voice. And the last one, test, ich, ich, ich, ich. This one is a bit of a tricky one. Thessalonian, 1st Thessalonian, 1st Thessalonian 5, verse 21. 1st Thessalonian 5, verse 21. He says, Prove all things, hold fast that which is good. Says, Prove all things, hold fast which is good. So, evaluate every revelation by scripture and the fruit that it gives. and that's it for the training for today. I just want to also give you some practical applications as well. Because sometimes you need to keep a prophetic journal. that is a journal that that only have prophecies in or prophetic where you write every dream, every verse or every word that God gives you. That's a prophetic journal. So, also don't write when you keep a journal. Don't write like this. You write and then after you've written this part that God gave you, you write at the bottom another part. No, write, leave a whole page open and then go to the next page and write your next one here. Because it might be that God can bring something that you written down in this prophetic to bring it down so that you can then write it again or add on and add on. so another one practical application is also compare symbols with scriptures. The one I've shown you where we talk about the water, it can mean something different. Or Harabri's waterfall, that water is not a good water but still waters. He lay me beside still waters. That's another. water in the scripture can prove to you what kind of one it is. And I mean if you go Proverbs 28 verse 1. Let me just give you Proverbs 28 verse 1 quickly. I think our time is up. I said I don't want to quick quick this one but I'm almost done. 28 verse 1. Proverbs 28 verse 1 says The wicked flee when no one pursued but the righteous are bold as a lion. The wicked flee when no one is pursuing but the righteous are bold as a lion. So this example it gives courage. So it is like a courageous move. But it can also represent Christ. The lion of the tribe of Judah. So your lion you need to fish. So compare symbols with scriptures. And therefore I said to you that when you dream don't just take one piece of the dream and interpret according to that one piece. Take the whole dream from the beginning to the end then interpret it because you might miss something. Another one is so this is more for the guys who is in prophetic and want to speak to somebody. Wait before you speak because you don't just rush to declare. wait for peace and confirmation. Proverbs 19 verse 2. It is not good for a soul to be without knowledge and he sins who hasten with his feet. He I mean and he sins who has hastened with his feet. So if you are too much in a hurry you might sin and like I said test every the last one like I said test every revelation first Thessalonians 5 21 test all things hold fast what is good. If it contradicts scripture I just let it go. just let it go. If it contradicts scripture let it go. Let it go. Let it go. Let it go. Can't hold that anymore. So one thing I can tell you when it has to do with prophetic God always interpret God always interpret leave that interpretation to him. So I want you to go back home and as you dream or when you dream or when you can remember your last dream journal it write it down then when you write it down look for three main symbols like what did it shows me like last night I had a dream where somebody was asking me in a stadium like I have not been by F&B stadium I have not been by I only went to where's the stadium that we went to for the rugby the last time Loftus yeah so I only went to Loftus stadium I have not been to any other stadium before but I could see it was like a stadium and the person asked me do you want to say something no he asked somebody first do you want to say something and the person is like no no no I don't want to say anything me being me I saw the opportunity to use it for testimony while it was not a church gathering it was something totally different and you know what I did the one thing I can I vividly remembered I said let me make a joke and bring it back to my testimony I asked how do you make this is my words how do you make a twin it's like how do you give birth to a twin but I said how do you make a twin I said by letting your two boys who is two years apart from each other play more with each other they become like twins it's like that's how I I said it and I said and if you lose twins it's going to be a big issue for you just make sure you look after your kids in a big stadium I said this this testimony and I was like wow I woke up and I was a nice dream I had a mic bishop me standing is the thing I can remember vividly the place I was so when I look at the three symbols here one symbol is it's a crowd and where you stand in front of crowds you are like the apostles of old the Jesus of old 3,000 people let's feed them you see and here we're talking about a stadium I don't know how big the stadium is but I just know it's a stadium it could have been the lofters would take up to let's call it 60,000 people maybe let's call it up to 90,000 people so that is speaking to 90,000 people at once so when you when you do that write the last dream down identify what's three symbols that you can use out of the dream and then ask the Holy Spirit like pray Holy Spirit show me what each of this means through your word did you did you hear what I said through your word now when I say your word I took the 60,000 or 90,000 crowd as the same as the apostle and Jesus was speaking to crowds because when you looking at somebody without the mic speaking to 3,000 people at once you know where it must be a strong voice the one at the back normally make noise they talking they talking yet they could hear me standing with a mic you will even do better than what I did that's what Jesus was saying you will be a record breaker break the record of Jesus so that is what he called you a record breaker you will do better than what I did record breaker so all these there as you write it down record it and use any verse or any impression that comes to you to write it down and then also another one just close your eyes so that you can be like like if I don't close my eyes I will see the keyboard so there's no distraction when you do distraction there's no distraction when you do this so that when you when you look at a keyboard you don't think of playing you don't you don't think of you you think of something else it makes your mind to be clear as what you are seeing and then only share it when it encourages or builds others when it encourages or builds others Lord Jesus I pray in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior that open our eyes of our hearts so that we can understand the language that you speak teach me also to bear beyond words I mean to hear beyond words and to discern what your spirit is saying I break every confusion I break every fear and every misinterpretation in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior I choose peace as my interpreter I will write what you reveal I will wait for your timing and I will only speak what glorifies Jesus Holy Spirit train my senses to recognize only your tone of voice gentle truthful full of love in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior Amen and Amen Now may the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ the love of God and the sweet fellowship of the Holy Spirit rest and abide with us all until Jesus comes surely goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days of our lives and we shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever and ever in Jesus name Amen and Amen
