The System You're Praying Against Without Knowing It

but yet nothing has shifted. It's like your prayers goes on deaf ears. Like, you know, like as if you are saying, God, did you hear me? It's not because God ignored you, but it's because something in the system is locked. Something in the system is locked. I mean, you even obeyed when God asked you, to do certain things. And as you obeyed, you say, Mara God, I have listened to you, yet nothing changes. What is it? You know, like sometimes when things happen in your life, there's a transition in your life where you need to go to the next level. Suddenly you don't feel worthy for that next level. Suddenly you feel like, no, no, no. I'm not. I'm not worthy. Let's make an example. You get a promotion at work. And for some reason, the promotion at work is not, it's not feeling all right for you. All these things that you're going through is a transition time. And this transition moving you to your next level, suddenly your inner being tells you it's wrong. So all these things you've been going through, and I mean, sometimes it's not that, but you see somebody else who doesn't pray as hard as you pray, who doesn't go to church more often than what you go to church. And sometimes you think, but this one is swearing a lot of times. And you're seeing all the wrong they do. And yet you feel like, Maragot, why are you stalling in my life? Why are you not moving forward in my life? Why is it that that person or this person or that one? You see, so all these things comes to mind and you feel, but it's not fair. You're not even rebellious. Like some of them are, you know, when, when somebody is rebellious, you know, when I, when I, when I talk about rebellious, like somebody, God tells them to go to Nenefi. They still don't want to go. So all this makes you to feel like you're, you're, you're, what is it? And your faith is high. You, you don't, you're not faithless. You have faith in God. Your faith is only on God. Your faith is not like some people who says, I'm sorry. Some people who says, ah, God is not for me. He doesn't work in my life. And yet they are prospering. You call them, uh, uh, what is that one? The people, uh, Adios is Adios, the one that doesn't believe in God. Imagine some of them are even more prosperous than you. So you start, why, why, why this, why that? So the questions that you have is more frequently coming. Too many of us are fighting for doors to open. Few know that doors are already opened, opened with past tense. Few of us know that God already opened doors. He doesn't always tell you the door is open. It's our disobedience that makes us not to go through the door. He said, I have said before you, an open door. And yet, you are awaiting for the open doors. Your prayer is, God opened the door. But yet, nothing happened, because there's inaction from your side. Your disobedience, made you not to know that the door is already open. And the worst part of it is that you do see the door open, but you don't thank God for open doors. And that is the reason why most of the time, our, how say it means? Your ungrateful ways of being ungrateful is the reason why the systems that has been set there and yet your prayers is against them. Yet, your prayers is against them. I mean, how can you pray for an open door, but yet not know that an open door goes with obedience where God said, I sat before you. God gave you so many answers. He said this, in Romans, where he said, I, I, I, I, I'm trying to get the scripture correctly. Now, let me, where's my Bible? Where did I put? Oh. I think, let me go there. Let's go to Romans 10. I'm worried I'm going to say it incorrectly. I'm going to read it incorrectly. I want to, I want to say it as what the Bible is saying. Romans 10. No, man, not Romans, sorry. John 10, verse 10, sorry. Yeah, Matthew, thank you, man. Yeah, this is what he says now. The thief cometh not, but for to steal and to kill and to destroy. You, you hear what he says. The thief cometh not, but for to steal and to kill and to destroy. Now, he came, he says, I am I am come that they might have life and that they might have life in more abundantly. You see, now, when he said that, then, in another scripture, he said before you life and death. You see, so, what is the, what is the reason for setting it before you? It's for you to show obedience as to which one you choose. Because, although he said it, that he said before you life and death, he also go as far as to say to you that, but yet, I want you to choose life. So, it's almost as if I can say he give you an order to choose life. But, the system that he used is sometimes the same thing that we pray against. so, when we pray, let our enemies be scattered. The question is, the enemies that is scattered, didn't he say sometimes in Exodus 14, verse 14, I, I, I, I so much want, I so much want to, to say the thing as I have it in my mind, but sometimes my mind can play, play to a, to a different way I'm saying it. And when I say the different way, it makes a different sense. It says that the Lord shall, not, not, he will, he shall fight for you and he shall hold your peace. So, what it means is that whenever there's a fight for you is to be obedient in a sense of saying that God, Mara, didn't you say you will fight for me? Why is it this? These are the things that we should know. now, I want to go to, to something and from what I've spoken about, you could hear where I'm going to. Number one is obedience. So, when the Bible says, he talked about obedience, he says obedience is better than sacrifices. What it means is that whatever you are doing on your own accord, it's not necessary to do it. Just obey what God is asking you to do. So, when you pray, God, I have been giving my brother the water every day whenever he feels thirsty. did he ask you to do it? Was it part of his did he command you? Let me say it that way. Yeah. Did he ask you to do it? Because if he didn't ask you to do it, it means that there's still a disobedience. Because remember, disobedience is not something that when God says do not kill, you go and kill. It's not always that. It's the things that you don't do and he's requesting you to do is also disobedience. like I'm just making an example where the Bible says that you need to go to the widows, the orphans and the homeless and support them. Sometimes you see a homeless and in your mind the only thing that goes through your mind this one looks like he's on drugs. Do you know that when somebody is hungry even drugs can't win the battle between hunger and drugs. Drugs and hunger they can't win. He will not go and spend on drugs. He will rather use the bread. So when you give him bread the obedience in that is giving the bread. And I want to give you two weapons that we can fight the enemy in this new here. The number one one is obedience. number one is obedience and number two is thanks giving. this is two weapons that whenever the enemy is about to come to you you will use it. This is you can almost call it spiritual laws. It's a spiritual law that the enemy can't help. Let me say thanks give thank you. Let me talk about thanks giving first. If you read Psalm 100 verse 4 If you read Psalm 100 verse 4 Enter into his gates. Where do you go? You enter into his gates. So what it means is when you come before the Lord you enter into his gates. With thanks giving. Then he says and into his courts with praise. Be thankful to him and bless his name. look I want to show you that this is this is not about emotion this is not about emotion nor is it about there's a word I'm looking for okay but let me leave that one but if you're talking about gates it means that gate is something that gives an access control so only some will be able to go into that gate and when you go into that gate if you enter his gates with thanksgiving it's a law that will open up the gate for you to go there make sense isn't it why someone goes into prayer and starts swearing God's mother yet he doesn't understand why why is his prayers not yet answered I'm getting there I'm getting there please I'm not trying to confuse you I'm just stating scripture did you hear what I said I am stating scripture I'm not changing the scripture I'm just saying when there's a gate it means that there's a controlled access to that and then it goes on further it says and into his courts now courts is is a legal place that you go into so when you can enter his gates you have a legal right to be in his courts and to open that you need to come in with thanksgiving so when you come in with thanksgiving I think I think I need you to understand something wait let me read a scripture for you quickly before I go further when you go to Romans 1 I want you to read into Romans 1 Romans 1 says the following Romans 1 21 sorry Romans 1 21 he says because that when they knew God they glorified him not as God neither were thankful did you hear he says neither were thankful but become vain in their imagination and their foolish heart was darkened did you hear that notice notice something number one undangbar it pastor help me ungrateful ungrateful and their thinking is almost as if it's useless thinking and and and and it goes as as follow then it talks about their heart who was darkened is fell out too is what what the what what the what the scripture call it what you sow you will reap it's sowing and reaping if you are not if you don't know the bible or don't like the bible it's cause and effect it's of course whatever let me say ungratefulness it's it changed the mindset it darkens the mindset like it makes it hard to think have you ever seen when when when somebody died and there's a will out then when the will goes out they now read this one gets the house this one gets the car that one get this that one get that somebody will have a big thing but yet are so ungrateful because they wanted something else somebody get a house but they like the V6 more than the house the V6 valued at 300,000 the house valued at a million the ungratefulness makes them to think that the V6 is better I'm just saying I'm just putting some perception or perspective sorry so that you can understand what I mean but something that you should understand now God gave us a choice between two things death or life you see there's also something that you should understand that in life as much as there is good there is bad as well now I the good from God is the bad not also sharp I mean how would you be able to know something good if you have not seen something bad so gratitude is not always saying thank really no it's not always the thank you it's the seeing the best from the worst still that is what gratitude is although things is not sharp I'm still thankful the worst part is it that you are looking at being sick more than the fact that somebody just died yesterday there's gratitude in that attitude of gratitude saying that wow I'm still alive but because of your focus is so much on the bad you forgot there's some good I hope you are coming with me now the Hebrew word for thanksgiving is todah now todah it does not mean gratitude after victory can you see this doesn't mean it's only thanking God after you have won the victory no it means it's an acknowledgement before the outcome it's an acknowledgement you acknowledge that God wow thank you for still making sense what I can't make sense of it's like almost an agreement with God's authority ahead of the evidence you know like you know God will be able to do it you know it and you already saying thanking him there's a there's a prayer there's a prayer one so this thanksgiving is a it's a pre acceptance of God's greatness so you already accept that God can do it and you already say thank you you already comes with a grateful heart and you say oh thank you I know you going to do it although my mind is coming against it I know you going to do it so that is what means and remember complaining shut these gates I'm talking about now complaining shut the gate that you can't go into his courts when you complain it's a it's a key to lock the gate to the courts you know you know why why some of us our prayers don't get answered we've prayed you don't understand why the prayers don't get answered I prayed for that new job God I prayed it's prayer opens the excess but thanksgiving keeps it open it keeps it open because when when when prayers you came to a point where you are so used to certain things every morning there must be bread you are used to it there will be bread let me rather say it that way not knowing that it's not because of there will be bread that there is always bread it's because somebody was thanking God for bread the daily bread and therefore it's multiplied it's like it's like we're getting so used to certain things is there until one day you will understand the significance of that it's to say thank you psalm 50 verse 23 says the following whoever offers praises glorify me and to him who orders his conduct right I will show the salvation of God so here is two conditions the one is praising which means it's to give gratitude to sometimes our understanding of gratitude is only by donkey donkey donkey it's not in thank you it's in way more than just a thank you donkey do you know when you read Colossians 2 verse 7 this is what it says rooted and built up in him and established in the faith thanksgiving so I'm teaching you to abound in that teaching I'm giving to you with thanksgiving now when thanksgiving it shows here that it's not a result of faith the thanksgiving here it enforces the faith so when you say thank you it's a belief you believe that it will be there so it enforces you to have more faith let me make an example it's it's my birthday thank mommy that you for my party us to a pot here why that pot is better than the pot I am in now not knowing the quills not knowing the manna that came every day but yet complaining about the pots that they left behind remember gratitude is a weapon gratitude is a weapon number one what it does it shuts down the accusations you know the accuser he stands there every day accusing you do you know the accuser Satan he accuses you day and night before God but when you comes with gratitude it shuts down that accusations and when it shuts down accusation it restores the clarity so you can clearly see what you want it's like you no no no let me make an example you can clearly see certain things in our lives we run after ghosts no like I want this car and I keep on looking for this car the day when I get the car I realize it's not the car that I've been looking for I've chased after ghosts and now suddenly I realize ah but this is not the car that I actually wanted I hope you understand what I'm talking about because God's grace I'm still kept safe for my kids I could have died my wife could have had some fed cooked and cabbage and what would it have helped helped me I mean what would have helped my being dead that day my family I'm thankful I'm still alive I still have another chance that's the benefit of me walking out there a lot of scars yes it happened but it's important to ask the question where is God or how do you say how is God working in this even though it's bad you know that that the one thing I can tell you sometimes what we want is not what we want let me ask you do you think Judas when he got the money he was alright Judas he wanted the 30 pieces of circle of silver he was after the money but when he got the money he was not happy so sometimes the things that you think that you want might be the reason why God is not giving it to you because he knows it's going to be your suicidal you are going to kill yourself the English that's what I'm trying to say to you some of the things that you do really want it might not be the things that you really want or that you really are in need of and that is why your prayers are praying for a car while God knows that that car will be causing you to go to places that is not necessary to go to sometimes and I'm not saying all the time please don't get me wrong God's perfect will is for giving thanks give thanks sometimes many battles are existing because our perception of things is too low like you can't you don't understand the things and sometimes that battles is because our emotions are too charged up like they are too high your murmuring is too much that is why we are still staying in the wilderness sometimes that battles is because we forgot who is the one that is on top which is God that is why we keep on fighting and we forget to go to the Exodus 14 verse 14 where he says keep your peace these are the things that we wish yes now I want to I don't want to take too much on obedience but I want to give you a brief on obedience Deuteronomy 28 verse 1 says now it shall come to pass if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God did you see he said if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God the Lord your God will set you high above all of all nations of the earth why are you below is because of disobedience why are you below no matter this guy he doesn't even know the Lord he doesn't even go to church but can you see the way this guy is prosperous the way he's driving big car the way he's having big house and I'm mentioning this because of I'm just making an example of this because it's easier to understand but sometimes somebody who doesn't know the like like me having mkava sometimes I pray God these people that eat too much they gimbal their stomach is not as big as mine who doesn't even eat a lot you see what I'm saying it's these things but our obedience is that I should have done the setups I should have done the setups because being obedient is doing what is sometimes going against the things we don't want to do or that we do want to do but don't want to do what does the apostle say the thing I want to do I don't do them you know that scripture it says the thing I want to do I can't do it why the thing I don't want to do I keep on doing it so sometimes obedience is the things that we don't want to do that we just have to do and here I need to understand the order of things it's first to be obedient then elevation will come this is according to Deuteronomy 28 verse 1 he says now it shall come to pass you diligently obey the voice of the Lord after that it says the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth so elevation comes after obedience elevation comes after obedience sometimes we just need to understand that there's some structures in things and this is the reason why our prayers we keep on praying is why we keep on having issues because our prayers comes from a wrong order of things God elevate me did you send in your CV because it's no use asking for promotion and you have not no no you say God please give me a promotion but you have not spoken to the boss that you are working for or sent your CV to a higher position make sense what I'm trying to say so sometimes our prayer first needs something that we need to obey for first I mean the Hebrew word for obey is shama shama it does not mean to hear no no no it means to hear but to internalize and to respond with action it's our year of action it's to hear and to internalize like from within and respond to what you have heard sometimes we think obedience is how you comply to God it's not compliance our obedience is not compliance obedience is alignment it aligns you don't comply align because there's a difference between compliance and alignment sometimes what we do is God says pick up the rod he says pick up the stuff now to you you see snake you see it's like it's like our thinking and our mind is so delusional sometimes that when God just say do it the first thing that comes when you pick up the stuff why it is a snake and you drop obedience is even if it is a snake get hold of it I want you to understand that when first Samuel 15 verse 22 says something he says to obey is better than sacrifice he says to obey is better than sacrifice what it means is that sometimes I sacrifice my time but God has not asked for time he just asked to do something you know let me let me make an example sometimes our sacrifices we are trying to impress people I went to the mountain for 40 days I put the camera like this I am starting day one of day 40 the next day the camera again day two of day 40 of the 40 no food look look look there's no food around me there's not even water around me impressing impressing have you seen the the the trouser the very first day the trouser was sitting look at the trouser already trying to impress the Bible says to obey is better than to be giving sacrifices the way I saw every day I gave that guy a car I sacrificed me walking so that the guy can have a car don't know where sacrifices sometimes is to impress the people but when it comes to obedience it realigns what is supposed to be done if my father who is seeing seeing what I'm doing in the closet he will lift me you know like you know the scripture I'm not I don't want to say the scripture nicely I want to make sure that you you do you do see what I'm trying to say sometimes when God asks us to fast he says put vaseline if you don't have vaseline take fat take oil if if it is that that for days you haven't eaten anything don't go and complain to others you know for days I didn't eat don't put program on the first of january we are we are fasting for the next 22 days for 30 days or whatever the case may be it's no use who does it serve if he says that whenever you fast I don't I don't I don't like this thing of fasting publicly I I understand why people are doing it but yet I don't understand putting it up showing my sacrifice putting it up showing I'm sacrificing I don't understand just please forgive me but this is my point of view I'm not saying you it's it's you or who it's my point of view sometimes when I fast after the third day you know I'm fasting because I will just say I'm not going to eat now the next day no man it's fine put my foot in the fridge the next day I'm still sharp immediately after two days my wife knows me by now she will know I'm fast but she will still put the food for me just to make sure that I have not stopped my fasting I don't do this thing of telling in fact I am of the opinion I must not tell I've done the last time I told you I fast and it flopped after day seven was it day seven after day seven I wanted to do 21 days ma I wanted but because of me and my mouth I think that was more impressed than sacrifice or what do you call it was more of a impressing somebody that's why it failed obedience is better than sacrifice my question to you is if you go to Joshua 6 verse 20 let's read Joshua 6 verse 20 Joshua 6 verse 20 it says the following it says so the people shouted when the priest blew with the trumpet and it came to pass when the people heard the sound of the trumpet and the people shouted with a great shout that the wall fell down flat so that the people went up into the city every man straight before him and they took the city and they took the city why did the walls fall it was not because of the noise no it was not because of the noise it is because obedience completed a divine sequence like the way they were asked that's how they did it I want you to understand something when when I talk about obedience I'm watering it down now what I'm saying now it's watered down there's more into obedience than what I can meet but the thing is sometimes our question in obedience stops us from how do you call it from gaining momentum in Christ here's where I'm coming from God spoke to me once saying I must go and tell a certain person something I did not and for two days I was uneasy like how do you call it like I wasn't chapped like my mind was busy thinking if only I should have told that one I was so disobedient that it ruined two days of my life and by ruining I mean the thing that was on my mind was unsettling it didn't sit well with me so remember wait I have not moved I what am I saying sometimes disobedience is not you going against the will or the word of God but it's you not doing anything by not doing anything it's a sign of disobedience when the Bible says go out there and make disciples of men and you sit inside and are waiting for people to come to church question I have not asked I have not said I am just saying question what do you think does the Bible say why do you think the Bible says go out there like out and you sit in the church or waiting for somebody to come you remember you were asking me why don't we do outreach it hit me you know it wouldn't love me it wouldn't love me because I knew it was wrong not to go there you wouldn't love me so much that at that day I thought about it like for I think it was few hours I started making plans what am I what we going to do and it was not a me thing it's a we thing you see it's not a me thing it's a we thing we as a as a as a church of God should be doing certain things but we don't it's also a sign of disobedience bishop let me ask just put something in the hand to help them because when was it when yesterday we had us by the robot so yesterday I was telling my wife when this guy I saw him one day he had a knee that was as big as you see it was it was bad and then what I did is I gave him I gave him money to go and buy anti inflammatory no but what I why I'm mentioning this to you is that some of the things we don't do like the way we should be doing it but we still do something it doesn't mean we don't so when I gave him the money for the anti inflammatory I didn't tell him to go tell people I gave him this I didn't but you know what happened when he went into the chemist the moment he went into the chemist and he came out he come and said thank you to me showing me the anti inflammatory somebody else comes after him and says he knew this can only be somebody that he knows and I'm like but what you mean somebody that you know no when the guy came in there he says this guy gave me money he says I must go and buy this kind of thing I must call it the anti inflammatory because this knee it needs it has an inflammation and it needs an anti inflammatory and here's the money I want the anti inflammatory he took the the change that because it was I didn't give him like the exact amount he came to me he come back and he says thank you and when he left this guy came and he says I knew it's only one person that can do this and at that time I say thank you God because the worst part of it is when he came out the guy was long gone and I was still sitting there and he came straight to me saying I knew it can only be you it proves that whatever we are doing people are seeing it out there in our disobedience some of the things we still obedient bishop do remember we went into the garage the other day but as we went into the garage the next thing somebody came with the bread at the back and you said no it's fine sir and you paid for the bread you remember you can't even remember but I'm just reminding you it's things that we do constantly without blowing the the the the the horns or the whatever we don't blow on we don't announce yeah that's the word I'm trying to say but what I'm trying to say is that some of the things we already doing in obedience although we feel we are disobedient so do remember although a a a a hammer strike a big rock you don't see anything but with every hit that you hit on the rock one of the other day that rock will go there's a guy called all right no no I forgot the guy's name but the guy did the statue of David you can google it I don't remember the guy's name but he was an artist or he is an artist so he explained that he had the thing in his mind like what he wanted to do with this big rock he had the whole David picture in his mind the only thing he remember is to strike the rock with the hammer keep on striking it for months and months and months he did not see anything until one day the form started to come and people started looking and saying oh this looks like a human being and then the longer he took it started looking like a specific person and they even asked him is this David and he said yes it was what was in my mind from the beginning so some of the things we have already have the goal or the vision in mind and therefore what we do daily we are ready on our way to see the vision I don't want you to think that whatever we are doing is in vain no I just want to maybe no it doesn't matter whatever I'm doing it's to to show the proof to you if you go online and you look at youtube or facebook yeah I've done today I've done only youtube and facebook you will see our our forms looks different or our videos looks different it's no longer like the way it used to be before it's just one thing that we have done as a church to make every gate God opens through thanksgiving according to Romans 1 verse 21 I refuse ingratitude and walk in clarity according to Deuteronomy 28 verse 1 I align through obedience and walk elevated
